** HAVE A FUN RIDE ON THE ROAD; BUY Z3

by eunicegailocay on July 2, 2010

The BMW Z3 is attractive, fun and meticulously designed. When compared to small sportster cars in the past few years, it clearly stands out and with the introduction of the new BMW Z4 which is the replacement to the Z3, the price of the Z3 has fallen making it a realistic and sensible choice so go and buy Z3.

The M roadster features a 3.2-liter DOHC, 24-valve inline 6-cylinder engine with Double-VANOS “steplessly” variable valve timing, 315-horsepower, and 251 lb-ft of torque; 5-speed manual transmission; Independent suspension with M calibration; M RoadStar light cast-alloy wheels with Satin Chrome finish; near-perfect 50/50 weight distribution; Dynamic Stability Control; All Season Traction with limited-slip differential; Rollover Protection System, 4-wheel BMW M vacuum-assisted ventilated disc brakes, many other standard features.

Buy Z3. It is the first modern roadster for the mass market from BMW. The first Z3 model’s 1.9L M44B19 straight-4 engine and interior appointments were behind buyer’s expectations and have been upgraded in the later models. Among these BMW Z3 upgrades was a larger straight-6 engine installed in the North American 1997 model.

The BMW Z3

The Z3 platform was developed from that E36, while the car’s rear semi-trailing arm suspension is from the E30.  This vehicle was launched as a 1996 model and had a coupe version prior to the car’s last production run in 2002. The BMW Z3 is strongly linked with the German manufacturer’s 3-Series, particularly.
The M coupe also features a 315hp, 3.2-liter 6-cylinder engine; and all of the features of the M roadster listed above, plus a coupe body for added strength and rigidity. See the new M coupe Gallery. A 3.0-liter coupe was also available, with the same features and price as the roadster 3.0.
Launched in spring of 1996, this was BMW’s first sports car in 40 years. Based on the 3-Series chassis, the racy-looking 2-seater Z3 was produced at BMW’s plant in South Carolina. Wheelbase was shorter than the 3-Series, which lent many drivetrain and other components to the roadster. Only a 4-cylinder engine was available initially. The 1.9-liter dual-cam 4-cylinder engine produced 138 horsepower. A 5-speed manual transmission was standard, with 4-speed automatic and traction control optional. Standard equipment included dual airbags, antilock 4-wheel disc brakes, a limited-slip differential, and 16-inch tires on alloy wheels. The manually operated convertible top had a plastic back window.

Buy Z3. This BMW roadster is a two-seater with a very stylish and powerful design. Now that the BMW Z4 is available, the Z3 is less desirable, despite this it still has the reputable BMW image which makes it a leader in its class compared to the MGF, Mazda MX-5 and Toyota MR2. It is definitely a fun car to drive and to look at, most of the success with Z3 comes down to the design which has less of an aggressive manly feel. The Z3 is a lifestyle purchase and can be customized with BMWs huge range of extras. Because of all of this the Z3 is enticing to men and women.
There are a number of engine choices in the BMW Z3 from the 1.8 and 1.9 four-cylinder to the 2.0 and up six-cylinder which really changes the rear-wheel drive in a positive way. The handling on the Z3 is proportionate with a tight chassis and meticulous steering. When it comes to the driving experience you can expect a smooth drive but it is not a soft one. When the hood is up the finesse of the Z3 is clear to see.
This BMW was the first modern mass-market roadster produced by BMW, as well as the first BMW model assembled in the United States. It was introduced as a 1996 model year vehicle, shortly after being featured in the James Bond movie, Golden Eye. There were a few variants of the car before its production run ended in 2002, including a coupe version for 1999. It was manufactured and assembled in Spartanburg, South Carolina. The Z3 was replaced by the BMW Z4 in late 2002 at the Paris Auto Show.
